Betty S. Bennett, 78, of Weirton, died Sunday, November 28, 2004 at her home. She was born March 17, 1926 in Paden City, WV, a daughter of the late Henry and Ada (Northcraft) Turner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer Bennett; two brothers, James and Rolla Turner; and three sisters, Virginia Bennett, Edith Graham, and Doris Adams. Betty worked for over 20 years as a nurse’s aide in the Pediatric Department of Weirton Medical Center. She was a member of the Weirton First Church of the Nazarene. Betty is survived by two sons, Roger Bennett and his wife Carol of Colliers, WV and Robert Bennett of Bowling Green, KY; one daughter, Pamela Hanna and her husband Gordon of Bowling Green; one sister, June Dearth of Ben’s Run, WV; 9 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 PM Wednesday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday with Rev. Vaughn Davis presiding. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton. Memorial donations may be made to the Weirton Medical Center Pediatric Department, 601 Colliers Way, Weirton, WV 26062.
