Camillo Anthony Bernabei, 57, of Weirton, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at his home. He was born July 15, 1960 in Steubenville, OH, the son of the late Antonio and Emma Santilli Bernabei. Camillo was a retired engineer from Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was the owner/operator of the former Camillo’s Sausage & Meatball Shop in Weirton, A 1978 graduate of Steubenville Central High School, Camillo enjoyed staying in touch with his classmates. His passion in life was sports, he loved the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns, and playing fantasy football and baseball, and golfing. But nothing compared to the love he had for his daughter, Camille. Camillo attended Sacred Heart of Mary and St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church and was a member of Knights of Columbus 3734, Polish Athletic Club and The Garibaldi Club. He will be remembered with love by his daughter Camille and her husband Danny Irvin of West Liberty, WV; sisters Joann Bernabei of Steubenville and Flo (Mark) Dujanovic of Akron, OH; nieces Maria Nagel and Olivia Dujanovic and nephew Matthew Dujanovic. Visitation will be held Friday 4-8 p.m. at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church with the Reverend Father Harry Dunn officiating.
