Caroline Olszewski, 88, of Weirton, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2009 at the Kindred Hospital in Oakdale, PA. Born February 15, 1920 in Mingo Junction, OH, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Caroline Duritza Felo. She was also preceded in death by her husband Thomas Olszewski, son Thomas Olszewski, Jr., daughter Linda Olszewski; brother Andrew Felo and sisters Betty Conn, Mary Pagnanelli, Pauline Svidran, Ann Potenzini and Agnes Machone. Mrs. Olszewski was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Caroline is survived by her son Robert Olszewski and his wife Karen of Follansbee, WV; daughter-in-law Julie Olszewski of Weirton; grandchildren Lance Olszewski of Greenville, SC, Megan Olszewski of Follansbee; Shawn Olszewski and his wife Adrianne of Alberta, Canada and Dawn James and her husband Roy of Follansbee and great granddaughter Mia James. Friends will be received Sunday from 1-3 and 6-8 at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10:00AM Monday at the Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church. The Reverend Father Kent Durig will officiate. Entombment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
