Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Christy and family, So sorry to hear of your Mother’s passing. She always treated me with kindness as a “kid” growing up in Pughtown. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Bobbi Lou (Boyles) Bailey

  2. I am so very sorry to learn about your Mom’s death. I do remember her from both the old A&S and Country Corners. Carole was always so friendly and helpful. You have been fortunate to have your Mom so long in your life. I am sorry for your loss Marie & Jim Bainbridge

  3. Aunt Carole, Aunt Maryann, Uncle Kenny, Aunt Veronica, and my mom, Justine, rolling out the dough to make Ishcusha(SP) in Aunt Maryann’s kitchen. Mark Unger

  4. Christy, I am so very sorry for your loss. The loss of a mother is so hard to bear. I am thinking of you at this difficult time. Beverly Cain Shultz

  5. I am so sorry for your loss of Aunt Carole. I have many memories of Aunt Carole 1)Aunts Carole,Veronica,Maryann and my Mom Justine having a competition Hanging Up Clothing with Baba being the Judge. Each sister assigned a clothesline and basket of clothes. Baba stood on the back porch and said “Go” in Slovak. (The winner is the sister who hung up her basket of clothes first). Aunts Carole and Veronica started moving each other’s wood support poles- Baba was yelling at them crying/laughing ( oh yoyyoyyoy). Eventually all 4 sisters were moving each other’s wood support poles. Aunt Carole announced she was the winner because other sisters were cheating. I don’t remember if there was a winner but watching Baba and her 4 Roses crying in laughter together was priceless. (Joe Unger)

  6. Remembering Aunt Carole 2) Uncle Paul had an Army buddy that lived in St Claire Shores (outside of Detroit). When Uncle Paul / Aunt Carole would visit St Claire Shores they would also visit the Michigan Unger’s in Flint. Mosquitos were always bad.

  7. Memory number 3 by Joe Unger. Aunt Carole always had her hair done. Memory number 4- Aunt Carole doing the dishes in Baba’s house and bumping dupas with those entering the kitchen door. Aunt Carole would make a funny response which incited laughter .
