concetta tassey
Concetta “Connie” Tassey, 84, of Weirton, passed away Friday, May 06, 2005 at the Weirton Geriatric Center. Born December 3, 1920 in Canton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Fausto and Consiglia Spano Forchione. Connie was also preceded in death by her husband Louis J. Tassey on June 9, 1971 and her brother Edward Forchione. Connie retired from Weirton Medical Center where she worked in the Physical Therapy Department. She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Weirton. Connie’s survivors include her son Randy Tassey and his wife Anna of Steubenville; daughters Diane Pastoric and Faith Shawver both of Weirton and Veronica “Ronnie” Wilson and her husband Dan of New Cumberland; brother Angelo Forchione and his wife Lorraine of Canton, OH; sister Molly Vitale and her husband Vince of Massillon, OH; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10AM on Tuesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be at St. Paul Cemetery in Weirton.
