Cota Donald Greenlief of Weirton died Sunday, December 27, 2020, at his residence at the Senior Living Community of Wyngate. He was 83 years old. Born on May 5, 1937, in Troy, WV, Don was the third born child of five to Shirley “Red” and Helen Knisley Greenlief. Don graduated from Weir High School in 1955, and in January of 1959, he married Frances Domick. In their 47 years of marriage, they were blessed with a son and two daughters, five grandchildren, and a great-grandson. Frances was a nurses’ aide at Weirton Medical, and Don was a welder in Weirton Steel. He retired after 40 years of service. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers, and West Virginia Mountaineers. He and his wife Frances loved traveling with the children across the United States. They also enjoyed visiting Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and their annual family vacations to Myrtle Beach, SC. Don and his family nourished their faith at the First United Methodist Church in Weirton. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his wife Frances on May 13, 2006; his brother, Ed Greenlief; and his sisters, Bonnie Dodson and Catherine Greenlief. Don will be remembered with love by his son, Donald (Kim) Greenlief; daughters, Linda (Tom) Millbauer, and Sandra (John) Fabian; his brother, Hayden (Winona) Greenlief; grandchildren, Joshua and Kaitlyn Millbauer, Jessica and John Fabian, and Heather Greenlief, and great-grandson, Mylan Hudson. Visitation will be 4 PM until 7 PM Tuesday at the Greco –Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV, where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday. Rev.
