Donald W. Boyd, 64, of Weirton, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2008 in the Weirton Medical Center. Born August 11, 1943 in Doddridge County, WV, he was the son of the late Ralph L. and Claira Irene Knight Boyd. Don has been an auto body repairman for 47 years, and has owned and operated Boyd's Auto Body and Repair Shop since 1971. He was Protestant by faith, a member of the Weirton Moose Lodge 688 and the National Rifle Association. He was an avid hunter, motorcycle and car racing enthusiast. Most of all, Donald loved the time spent with his family and grandbabies. Mr. Boyd is survived by his wife of 45 years Margaret "Sis" Kurensky Boyd; daughter Donita L. Harris and her husband Mark all of Weirton; grandbabies Chelsie Dawne and Marlee Anne Harris and siblings Joe Boyd of Middlebourne, WV, Linda Serish of Weirton, Rick Boyd of Follansbee, WV, Kathy Boyd of Bergholz, OH, Mona Davis of Weirton, Betsy Stanley of New Manchester, WV and Timmy Boyd of Weirton; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday 2-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where funeral services will be celebrated 11AM Friday with Pastor James Foglio officiating.   10. Sis, Although I’m pretty sure you don’t remember me, I just learned of Don’s passing yesterday and wanted to share my condolences. Don did some work for both me & my father, most notably painting my 1970 Big Block Chevelle SS back in 1982. He did a stellar job! Don was a perfectionist and never settled for less. I always enjoyed talking to Don; he had a wonderful sense of humor and a taste for adventure. I’m so very sorry to hear of your loss…
