Dorothy M. Dugan, 76, of Weirton, passed away Monday, June 4, 2007 at the Brightwood Center in Follansbee, WV. Born October 20, 1930 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary Ellen Hoffman Swearingen. Dorothy was also preceded in death by her husband James R. Dugan on June 27, 2006 and brother Edward Swearingen. With over 10 years of service, Dorothy retired from Stone & Thomas Department Store where she worked as a Manager in the fragrance department. She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Hibernian’s Club and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Weirton Elks Lodge 1801. She also served as Past President of the Madonna PTA and was a member of the state and local chapters of the Catholic Daughters of America. Dorothy’s survivors include her son, Michael Dugan of San Francisco, CA; brother Alfred Swearingen, Jr. of Martins Ferry, OH and nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends Monday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Tuesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.   14. I have fond memories of both your parents when I worked as an associate at St. Paul’s in the early 90’s. Know that you have my sympathy, thoughts and prayers as you grieve your mother’s loss.
