Ebert Michael Vandruff

Ebert Michael "Mike" Vandruff, 62, of Weirton, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2009 in the Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, OH. Born March 5, 1946 in Jacksonburg, WV, he was the son of the late Michael Eddie and Lula Mae Elliott Vandruff. He was also preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Kay Bish Vandruff in 1983.
Mr. Vandruff retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as a rigger.
He is survived by his sons Michael Vandruff and his wife Mary of Port Richie, FL and Todd Vandruff and his wife Tonya of Cornwell, Canada; daughters Lisa Morris and her husband David of Weirton and Mary Beth Fries and her husband Garrison of Henderson, NV; brother Lee Henry Vandruff of Weirton and grandchildren Jackson Fries and Nicholas and Ashly Vandruff.
Friends will be received Saturday from 2-6 at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

I was so shocked to read about Mike’s passing. Even though I have been laid off at Lancia’s, I still stopped in to see him whenever I could. You know how much I cared about him and loved him. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. I will miss him terribly.
To the Children and family of Michael. I really was a childhood friend of your Dear Dear Mother. I loved her so very much growing up. and also I was the host mom of Abraham Frem who you went to Weir High School with you Mike. I just wanted to offer my sincere condolences and to extend God’s blessings on your family at this time of your fathers passing. I am sorry to hear of Mikes passing.I remember when he worked for me and when we worked together on roofs with Dick Kimmel.He would keep me laughing, you did not know what he would come up with.GOD BLESS
