Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. My former mother-in-law, Edna “Mae”, as I kiddingly called her, was a remarkable and unselfish person who always put others before herself. A truly good person.

  2. My parents and I moved into the house right across the street from the Pinters in the year 1965 (I was 1 at that time!) As a teenager, I spent many summers cutting the Pinter’s grass. Mrs. Pinter was very meticulous about her yard, and because I was that way, too, she called on me again as an adult to take care of her lawn. I had the privilege of enjoying many wonderful talks with Mrs. Pinter throughout those times, whether it was about the city of Weirton or (since I am a teacher) about “these kids today”. She was a wonderful neighbor and friend who will be greatly missed!

  3. When I was a little boy I played in the backyard of my dear friend Karen. It was a safe place, with trees for climbing and a dog named Socks. It was safe because Mr and Mrs Pinter made it safe and fun. I wish to extend my deepist sympathy to my friend Karen, and her family. You were blessed to have such a wonderfull mother and father. Your Friend Ted

  4. Dear Karen and Family, Just wanted to express to you sympathy at the passing of your dear mother. I am sure all the wonderful memories you have made thru the years will take you thru the process I remember your mother always being a part of your school years such fond memories. May God Bless you all. Your Edgewood and Follansbee Classmate- Darlene Hanlin McKinley

  5. As a child I spent many an afternoon playing with my friend Karen (Josie to her folks)in her yard. We would play games in the summer and go sledding in the Pear orchard in the winter. I remember all of the unique Halloween costumes Edna would make for both Karen Jo and Patty. My sympathy goes out to all of her family as I can only imagine the sadness her passing has caused.

  6. Karen, I remember you from Edgewood. I was a year ahead and moved away at the end of ninth grade. I remember you as being one of the nicest and kindest girls in school. Losing a Mom, I know, is very difficult. But I know that happy memories and shared moments can help a lot. Bless you and your family. Naomi
