edward krupinski
Edward Stanley Krupinski, 95, of Weirton, entered into eternal rest March 4, 2002, at his home. Eddie retired from Weirton (National) Steel Corp. with 53 years service, starting at age 12, working the Old Tin Mill, up thru the ranks, and retired at 65 years as Zinc Line Operator. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, October 13, 1906, a son of the late Pelogia (Wieczorkowski) Krupinski and Josef Krupinski. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Stanley, Ceasar, and Walter; five sisters, Anastasia and Clara Krupinski, Helen Rakowski Scymanski, Florence Gaynor, and Pearl Kondik. Ed served his country in the U.S. Army (Black Hawk) Division in WWII Atlantic and Pacific War Theaters. He was a member of the Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, P.N.A., Weirton Steel 25 Year Club, V.F.W. #2716, American Legion Post 10, Weirton Steel Bowling League, and Monday Night Federal Bowling League. He also served his neighbors as a Constable for Hancock County. Surviving are, an only daughter, Sylvia Eileen Fisher; a grandson, Keith (Rusty) Fisher and his wife Cyndy; a granddaugher, Mrs. Mark (Denise) Shuma; six great grandchildren, Julie, Daniel, and Edward Fisher, Mrs. Rick (Sunni) Prosser, and Sarah and Emily Shuma; and three great great grandchildren, Logan Fisher, Jubiliee and Gloria Prosser; and nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. Calling hours are 7-9 PM Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 PM Wednesday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Thursday at Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Weirton. Entombment will follow at St. Paul Mausoleum with military services conducted by the V.F.W. #2716, American Legion Post 10, and Tri-State Marine Corps.
