Elizabeth “Jane” Miller, 66, of Toronto, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 2, 2025.
Born on November 12, 1958, in Weirton, West Virginia, she was one of eight children of the late Alex and Theresa (Zdinak) Sabol, Sr.
On July 9, 1978, Jane, as she was known by many, married her high school sweetheart, Kevin Joseph Miller. Together, they built a beautiful life and were blessed with a son, two daughters, and six cherished grandchildren. Being a mother and grandmother was Jane’s greatest joy and lifelong dream—one she fulfilled with unwavering love and devotion.
Jane dedicated her life to serving others with love, compassion, and generosity. She retired from Hancock County Schools after 28 years of service as a preschool aide and autism mentor. Her warmth, patience, and unwavering kindness left a lasting mark on the many children, families, and fellow educators.
Devoted to her faith, Jane was a member of Saint Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church. Her deep spirituality was evident in her daily life, as she was often found praying the Rosary.
She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, especially in her visits to Geneva-on-the-Lake, where she enjoyed time with her husband and family. However, nothing compared to the time she got to spend with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Sabol; her brother-in-law, Bill Bocek; and her father and mother-in-law, Harold and Anna Miller.
Jane’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her including her husband of 46 years, Kevin Joseph Miller; her daughter, Terra (David) Rauschenberg; son, Kevin Miller II; and daughter, Emily (Rick) Antill; and her treasured grandchildren: Ethan and Seth Rauschenberg, Liam, Leah, and Logan Antill, and Kevin Miller III; her siblings, Alex (Anne) Sabol, Theresa Bocek, Cecilia (Ed) Conley, Mary Ann Sabol, Veronica Zaney, and Joanne (Doug) Smith; countless nieces and nephews; and her special cousins: Kathy Jo, Bobby, and JoJo Mehalik.
Jane will be remembered always for her gentle heart, her unwavering generosity, and the immeasurable love she gave to her family and friends. Her legacy of kindness, faith, and devotion will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Her family gathered privately at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home for a blessing service.
All are invited to attend a Divine Liturgy in her memory at Saint Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church on a future date. Please check the church bulletin for this announcement.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church 3116 Elm Street Weirton, WV 26062

So kind. Many times a few of her grandchildren were with her. She loved them so much and was so proud of them. May she
rest in peace and may her memory be eternal.
Jane always had a smile on her face. She was a hard worker and a friend to all. We loved working with her at Weirton Heights and Weirton Elementary. I will keep her family in my prayers.
I extend my deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to Jane’s entire family. Jane was an aide in my special education classroom for several years, and she was the BEST both professionally and personally. Her deep religious convictions were evident in the way she treated others and how she lived her daily life…she was an angel here on earth. When I moved onto another job, Jane gave me a small, framed image of Christ made up of many varied faces representing all of mankind. Now when I look at this, I will see Jane’s smiling face among them. She lives on in Him and through Him, and she will always be with you. May you find peace and comfort in all your loving memories.
Dear KJ and precious family~~ I am devastated to have read the sudden passing of Jane, and am so very sorry for all of you.
While we were in school, we seemed to be a bit like Mutt n Jeff. I cherish those times we spent together and have always felt saddened that, after you 2 married and I moved to Maine, we just lost contact. I never stopped caring n will love you always💔❤️🩹
She was a huge asset to the school system.
May she Rest in Peace🙏
She was kind to everyone and she will be missed. May the Angels be her guide as they lead her into Paradise
I remember the entire Sabol family with fond memories when we did the passion play with Fr Kushner. My most sincere condolences to the entire family and to you Veronica who I knew well back in high school. It is times like this that we are literally lost for words when one dies so young and unexpectedly. But my prayers are that you will find peace in time through the love and calm that God provides us.
We extend our heartfelt sympathy and pray for the Lord’s comfort for you in this extraordinarily sad time.
