Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I would like to express my sympathy to the family of Emmie Miltenberger. Several years ago I played bridge in the local bridge clubs and, although I have not seen her for some time, I remember Emmie as a very congenial lady and a good bridge player. Joseph V. Dragoun

  2. Emma was my antique mentor and friend…we shared good laughs at antique shows and she taught me so much about jewelry and ‘beautiful things’. Few people have touched me so deeply…you just had to love her ‘spunk’! Blessings to all.

  3. Bob: I was very sorry to hear about your mother. My Deepest Sympathies to you, your father, and all of your family. Bob Firm

  4. We are so sorry! It’s so hard to lose a Mom. We speak from experience. Our prayers are with you. Andrea

  5. Dear Mr. Miltenberger and Family, My sincere sympathy to you and your family at the passing of your dear love one. May the memories you all made now become the friend you hold so dear to you. May God Bless you all in your time of missing her. She must have been a fine lady to be loved by you all so very much. God Bless, Darlene

  6. Bob and Sharon, Please accept our deepest sympathies on the passing of your Mom, Emmie. I have alot of fond memories of growing up on Grosse Ile and being around your parents. Your Mom always had positive comments to make to everyone she met. She and your Dad are the reason you are the person you are today. They did a great job. Please give our condolences to your Dad and to Sara, as well as to Bobby. Your faith and your family will get you through this very difficult time. With love, Lance,Joy and the Boys

  7. Dear Bob, Bob Jr., and Sara, and extended family: Nancy and I wish to express our deep sorrow at Emmie’s passing, and our sincere condolences to each of you. It is amazing how seldom we saw Emmie over the past fifteen years when you realize that we live in a small town, and also in the same small residential area of that town. But we go far back; I met Emmie in the early 70s when I began playing bridge. Over the many years, Emmie was unfailingly polite, friendly, courteous, and cheerful, a combination rarely found. She was a delight to know, and we will cherish many fond memories. I am so sorry that for so many years her world and ours failed to intersect, and that we did nothing to assure contact. Emmie was a special person, and we are happy to have known her, as would be all those who ever met her. All of you will be in our thoughts.

  8. Bob, Sharon and Family, David and I want to express our deepest sympathy on the loss of your dear, sweet mother. We met you and your mom many years ago when she starting doing antiques shows with us here in Saint Charles, Missouri. What fun we would have! She was a women of great wit, wisdom and graciousness. And that smile–we won’t forget that smile! God bless.

  9. It is with great sadness to hear of Emmie’s death. I truly thought the world of her and enjoyed being with her (as seldom as it was.) I am Bruce Barnes wife. Cousin of Emmie. Emmie’s Mother and Bruce’s Mother were sisters. I have enjoyed being “on line” with her these past 4 or 5 years. She will be missed! My condolences to her family. Love, Marge

  10. Aunt Emmie was such a wonderful person. I remember long ago holidays with the special treat that Aunt Emmie and Uncle Robert were coming! Long evenings playing Aces and Hearts. She told some great stories of babysitting my dad in the earlier days. She was a wonderful woman who brought joy with her wherever she went.

  11. I have many fond memories of Aunt (Cousin) Emmie (and family) visiting our family over the holidays. My dad counted on her good taste when selecting heirloom jewelry as gifts for my mom. I was a thankful recipient of a few many pieces as well.
