Ethel M. Cunningham, 81, of Weirton, WV died Friday February 1, 2008, at the Weirton Medical Center. She was born on January 3, 1927, in Canonsburg, PA, a daughter of the late Leroy and Flora Seabright Wilson Clemens. Ethel was also preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Wilson and her sister, Alice Smith. Ethel was a homemaker, who previously was a nurse's aid at the Weirton General Hospital and the Weirton Osteopathic Hospital. Her love for bowling led her to her employment as a clerk at the Holiday Lanes and the Steel Valley Lanes in Weirton, where she bowled and traveled in many different leagues. Ethel also enjoyed puzzles and taking care of her pets. She attended the Evangel Baptist Church and the Resurrection Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband, Elmer L. (Bud) Cunningham, whom she married in April of 1947; her son, Ralph L. Cunningham of Weirton; her daughter, Gloria Cunningham Zatezalo of Waynesburg, PA; her sister, Dorothy Brehm of Steubenville, OH; two grandsons, Jon and Eli Zatezalo and nine great grandchildren. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, where funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday. Pastor Mike Hampton will preside.
