everette holbrook
Everette P. (Bud) Holbrook, 68, of Weirton passed away Sunday January 11, 2009 at his residence. He was born April 15, 1940 in Rainelle, WV, the son of the late Everette N. and Mary Gladys Fogus Holbrook. Bud retired from the Weirton Steel Company in 1997 where he was a member of the 25 year club. He had over 33 years of service and worked as an operator in the BOP Department. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Bud served his country in the US Navy from 1959 to 1963. He loved spending time with his family and especially with his grandchildren. He attended St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Weirton. He is survived by his wife Theresa Burns Holbrook of Weirton; son Daniel Holbrook and wife Janet of Weirton; daughters Lisa Holbrook of Weirton, Linda Kostecki and husband Anthony of Powder Springs, GA and Diane Holbrook of Dallas, GA; brother Larry Holbrook of Cumming, GA and sister Cheryl Pialet and husband Jeff of Knoxville, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton, WV, where funeral services will be held Thursday, 11:00AM with Rev. Fr. Dean Borgmeyer officiating. Interment will be at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee, WV, where Military Services will be conducted by the American Legion Firing Squad and the Weirton Honor Guard.
