Mrs. Leeson was my 9th grade english teacher and mentor to me. I am Sluggo’s mom and I am so glad I got to talk to her last year to tell her how important she was in my young life. She told me that she was worried for me for a while but was glad to know that I turned out OK and my son did also. I can still remember her telling me that I would never need to try drugs if I drank strong black coffee and had a Pal Mal unfiltered cigarette. I had my son while I was in high school but I finished with my class due to her encouragement and belief in me. I had a great respect for her and alway will. My sincerest condolences to you and your family.
Mrs. Leeson was my English and homeroom teacher. I remember when she got married and we had to stop calling her Miss Pealer. She will be missed very much. My prayers are with her family. Rosemary Sutler Yoho “51”
