Georgia Anetakis

Georgia Anetakis, 88, of Weirton, died September 30, 2002 at The Inn at Wyngate.
She was born May 21, 1914 in Crete, Greece, daughter of the late John and Maria Zavolakis Pehenakis. Also preceding Georgia was her husband, James G. Anetakis, who passed away January 3, 1974; brother, Gus Pehenakis; and sister, Helen Telakis.
Georgia was a member of the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, the Daughters of Penelope and a member of Philoptochus. She was also a past member of the All Saints Senior Citizens.
Georgia is survived by three sons: Attorney George Anetakis and his wife Jackie, Dr. Louis Anetakis and his wife Irene all of Weirton and Attorney John Anetakis and his wife Georgia of Oakdale, PA;
Nine grandchildren: Margaret Steiner and her husband David; James Anetakis; Attorney J. George Anetakis; Attorney Maria Tripodes and her husband Nick; Kristina Gzikowski and her husband Ryan; Dr. Alexander Anetakis; Angela Anetakis; Georgann and her husband Dr. George Poulos and Jamie Anetakis.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 2 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Additional visitation will be 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM Thursday at the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church.
Interment will be in the Greek Section of Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Was so sorry to hear about Mrs. Anetakis. She was a charming lady as I spoke briefly with her at Wyngate. She was so proud of her family. She seemed so happy. God Bless the family and please accept our sincere condolences.
