  20. I was informed of Jimmy’s death in a letter in the Steubenville Herald Star today. We were neighbors growing up on Wellesley Avenue, and there was a time that we could have been considered best friends. We moved to LaBelle around 1945 and from about that time until I went away to college, Jimmy and I and some of the other Big Red students hung together, even though I was going to Central. I remember, as a teen, Jimmy was very proud of his DA, and carried a comb in his back pocket. When he bought his first car, a stick shift Ford, with straight pipes, we would cruise the town, looking for girls. I often thought about Jimmy and his two sisters, Judy and Susan, wondering what ever happened to those kids we all were, including the Myers girls. It was gratifying to see that Jimmy is mourned by his children and grandchildren, and by the smile on his face in his obituary picture, he must have had a very happy life. You have my sincere condolences.
