Jean M. Trojan
March 26, 1917 ~ February 14, 2008
Jean M. Trojan of Weirton passed away Thursday, February 14, 2008 at the Brightwood Center in Follansbee, WV. She was born March 26, 1917 in Weirton, the daughter of the late Pete and Anna Czerepak Markowicz. Her husband, Bernard "Babe" Trojan, her brothers Henry and Pete Markowicz and her sisters Stella Smith and Helen Socha also preceded her.
Jean was retired from the Trojan Sports Supply store in Weirton, where she was owner and operator for over 10 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Weirton and the Christian Mothers.
Jean is survived by her daughter Joyce A. Townsend and her husband Carl of Weirton and her grandchildren David B. Townsend of Weirton and Tammy J. Townsend of Wheeling, WV.
There will be no visitation and services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.

As a daily walker in Greenlawn Estate’s who enjoyed the tranquility of Jean and her husband’s little nature reserve, and beautiful landscaping; I now envision them both tending Heaven’s Gardens. She will be sorely missed by many in our little addition of Weirton.
