Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. To my Pap, my Best Friend. I will always treasure our moments together and everything you have done for me. I truly love you with all my heart. Oh yeah, how about talking to Jesus for me and getting us another Super Bowl, I LOVE YOU…

  2. Good ole Uncle Joe! I’ll never forget when he and Aunt Fee stopped to visit me when I was stationed in Texas. Uncle Joe was dressed in all his Steeler gear in the middle of Dallas Cowboy country during the Great Steeler Super Bowl years of the 70’s when they played the Dallas Cowboys several times. A BIG Rival! When we went out to eat I told him these Cowboy fans might beat the crap out of him. “Bring ’em on”, he said, “Bring ’em on.” Fortunately nothing happened, but he did draw some hostile stares. I’ll always remember Uncle Joe as a fun loving person, and the greatest Steeler fan. The good Lord has to have some special place for him in Heaven, and I know my dad, Mike, will be so glad to see him. He always made dad laugh. God Bless you, Uncle Joe and thanks for the memories. Love, your niece, Darlene.

  3. Dad, I am so thankful that you are now with Jesus and Mom. In heaven there is no more pain and suffering, and the Steelers always win the Super Bowls. 17. Grandpap, It’s been almost six months since you were called home. I imagine that you are just about settled in. You and Grandma must have had a lot to catch up on. I know that the two of you are happy again, which both of you certainly deserve. You also have little Joey. The holidays have been rough, and they will never be the same without the two of you. Thankfully, you have left us all with wonderful memories to hold tight to. God blessed me with amazing grandparents, and I will be forever thankful. Grandparents leave footprints on the souls of their grandchildren. Until we meet again, I love you both always.

  18. I remember you telling Keith and I that all your friends were great grandparents, and you asked us when you were going to be a great grandpap. Well, she’s here! Kylie Jo, named after you of course, was for born five days before your birthday. I know that you are in heaven smiling down on her. Don’t worry, we won’t tell her all the crazy grandpap Joe stories until she gets older. Just joking!

  19. I think your father (or grandfather), may have been related to our “Grubor” family. We are from central Illinois (St David) and share many similar first names in addition to the last name; particularly because of the spelling of the last name. If you are interested in pursuing a search into the possibility of a lineage, please contact me on Facebook (Donna Grubor-Bowling) or eMail (djgrubor82@yahoo.com). God bless all of you during your time of loss and sorrow.
