John Charles Gastgeb

John Charles Gastgeb, 79 of Weirton, died Saturday May 11, 2002, at Trinity Medical Center East. He was born on January 31, 1923 in Weirton, the son of the late John and Amelia Molly Munich Gastgeb.
John retired from the Weirton Steel Company with 41 years of service. He worked in the Tin Mill Machine Shop as a machinist and supervisor. He was a member of the Weirton Steel 25-year club, and was Lutheran by Faith. John was a WWII Veteran for the US Air transport Command.
His wife Lillian Dudley Gastgeb of Weirton, a sister Amelia Amy Gastgeb Steiman of Weirton and 4 nephews and 5 nieces survives John.
There will be no visitation. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Chapel Hills Memorial Gardens in Weirton, WV. Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton, is handling arrangements.
