John “Hank” Ladomersky, 79, of Weirton died Monday October 10, 2005, at the West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Hank was born on June 12, 1926 in Toronto, OH, the son of the late William and Sophie Platko Ladomersky. He was also preceded in death by his step son, Vince Smolesky and his brother, Paul Ladomersky. Hank retired after 20 years as a driver from United Van Lines. Prior to his time with United Van Lines, Hank worked in the Open Hearth of Weirton Steel for 15 years. Hank served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, American Legion Post 10 and the AARP. Hank is survived by his wife, Ruth Finley Ladomersky; his daughter, Diana Ladomersky of Weirton, WV; two grandsons, Jamey Buttry of Missouri and Dan Buttry of Sewickley, PA; a brother, Tom Ladomersky of Detroit, MI; four sisters, Eleanor Cowles, Joann Vaughn, and Madge Rock all of Toronto, OH, Irene Lascola of Wellsville, OH; a great-grandson and a great-granddaughter. Visitation will be 7-9 PM Tuesday and 2-4 & 7-9 PM Wednesday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 10:30AM, at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. Reverend Father Stephen Dube will officiate. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton, where military services will be conducted by the American Legion Post 10 and VFW Honor Guards.   7. Dear Ruth and Diana, Hank will truly be missed. Who will put Diana in her place? Hank always had a way with words and he told it like he saw it, whether we liked it or not. We go back many many years from Atlantic City, dance recitals, Myrtle Beach,graduations,weddings, etc. Ruth used to be our first Christmas card we would recieve every year, no matter how she always beat us.
