John J. Kasica

John J. Kasica, 58, of Weirton, passed away Friday, February 08, 2008 in the Weirton Medical Center. He was born November 28, 1949 in Barberton, OH, the son of the late Frank and Alice Borrow Kasica.
John was self employed doing general house cleaning. John loved to cook and had a green thumb, and it showed with the many plants he cared for at home.
John is survived by his sons, Brian and Jason Kasica of La Mesa, CA; his brothers, Frank Kasica of Irondale, OH and Dale Kasica of Washington, PA; sisters, Rose Long of Arizona, and Mary Bunner and her husband Roger of Weirton, WV.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 12, 2008, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton, WV. Services will be held on Wednesday, 11 AM in the funeral home, with Minister Aaron Arthaud officiating.

To the Family of John Kasica: My name is Dee and John used to clean at my office at the Beech Bottom Plant of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. John was a very kind person and was a great housekeeper. He always gave 100% in his work. He gave all of the girls at my office plants…unfortunately, none of us had the green thumb that John did. He will be greatly missed. I’m glad to have known him. May God comfort you in your time of loss.
I only knew John for a short amount of time, but the time that I did know him was wonderful, a very cheerful energetic person that would always make me smile. John will be sadly missed. John Buffo
