john heiserman
John Kurt Heiserman, 61, of Weirton, WV died Friday May 22, 2015, at his home with his loving family at his side. Born on May 16, 1954, in Weirton, WV, John was a son of the late William "Bill" and Ruth McGuire Heiserman. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bob. After 31 years of service, John retired from ISG Weirton, where he worked in the steelworks department. He served his country in the United States Army from 1975 until he returned home to care for his ailing father. But most of all, John will be remembered for his enjoyment of the simple things of life. Whether it be playing music with his family, or spending quality time with his five grandsons. All that knew him, knew John had a love for the outdoors. He spent many days and nights camping with his family at his favorite spot, Berlin Lake. He also had a love of the ocean. Around the house he enjoyed working with his hands. John often could be found sharing his talents in the garden or his craftsmanship in woodworking. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Oliver Heiserman, whom he married on January 19, 1974; his son, Pat Heiserman his wife Nikki and their children John, Mason and Hayden; his daughter, Stephanie Suttinger, her husband, Andy, and their children, Anthony and Aiden; his sister, Donna Heiserman; his brother, Joe Heiserman and his wife, Mary Kay all of Weirton, WV; and many extended family members, who loved him dearly. Visitation will be Wednesday 4 PM until time of memorial service at 5 PM, Wednesday, at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton. Dr. Rev. Ed Rudiger will preside.
