June Krena, 84 of Weirton, passed away on October 26, 2003, at St Margaret Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. She was born June 3, 1919 in Wellsburg, WV, the daughter of the late John and Margaret Hockin Platt. Her husband Stephen Krena, 5 brothers and 2 sisters preceded her.
June was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her son John Krena and his wife Carol of Pittsburgh, PA, grandson John Krena Jr. and Andrea Jones of Sarasota, FL, and granddaughter Tracey Hale of Columbus, OH.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 28, 2003, from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton, WV.
Funeral Mass with Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00AM Wednesday, October 29, 2003, at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church in Weirton.
Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton WV.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Animal Rescue League of Western PA, 6620 Hamilton St., Pittsburgh, PA 15206.
