larry stewart
Larry B. Stewart was born to Albert and Lola McGorty Stewart on May 27, 1942 in Wellsburg, WV. Larry served his country as a 102nd Airborne Paratrooper in the United States Army. On June 17, 1980 he married Marjie J. Haspel, they both worked at Weirton Steel. Larry retired in December of 1999, after 32 ½ years as a roller on number 7 tandem in the strip. Larry enjoyed hunting. On August 12, 2003 Larry passed away at the age of 61 in Weirton WV. He is survived by his wife Marjie Haspel Stewart, and their two children Chad and Melissa Stewart of Weirton; his five brothers, Glenn of Follansbee, WV, Albert of McKinleyville, WV, John of Willowick, OH, Gary and Chuck Stewart both of Wellsburg, WV; his nine sisters, Wilma Brooks, Gloria Owens, and Christina Elliott all of Wellsburg, WV, Esther Thomas of Merritt Island, FL, Linda Gaston, and Alberta Taylor both of Follansbee, WV, Kay McCracken of Cameron, WV, Carol Kerper of Willowick, OH and Lila Caprio of Norfolk, VA. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 PM Thursday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 AM. Rev. Marvin Taylor will preside Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, with Military Services.
