Laura Sue Spano, 41, of Weirton, passed away of natural causes Monday, January 04, 2010 at her home. Born August 28, 1968 in Weirton, she was a daughter of Leoma "Peg" Skinner Flowers of Weirton and the late Homer F. Flowers. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Randy and David Flowers. For 22 years, Laura worked at the Ponderosa Steak House in Weirton. Laura had a strong love of farming and animals, especially her beloved cats. In addition to her mother, Laura is survived by her husband Joe of Weirton whom she married January 11, 2007 and her nephew Randy W. Flowers of Weirton. Friends will be received Thursday from 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where funeral services will be conducted at 11AM Friday. The Reverend Christina Hosler will preside. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hancock County Animal Shelter, Post Office Box 508, New Manchester, WV 26056.

  2. Peg, Joe, Randy, My heart truely is broken. Laura is such a wonderful person and beautiful, pure soul. Not many women carried that innocents she has through out their life time. I spent the day with all the family when Homer passed, Laura said to me, how sorry she was for my family and our loss. She put herself behind to lift me up, but also gave me encouragement to be stronger. I wish I had the words to give each of you comfort. I am so sorry for all your pain and hurt.   3. We worked with Laure at Ponderosa many years ago. She was a very sweet person that made you laugh all the time. When we ate at Ponderosa and she was working she would always run to give us a hug. Laura would call me Izabell and I called her Laura Loo. She will be sadly missed!!

  5. I went to school with Laura and she was a very sweet soul, i have not lived in Weirton for 20 some years but i remember her as if it was yesterday. i pray for her family and to be so young it is very devasting i will keep her family in my prayers and Laura God bless you and rest in peace

  8. Peg and Randy, I can’t believe Laura is gone. I just saw her two months ago at my dad’s showing. She came in with her eyes full of tears and I said to her, “Its okay. He’s with Randy now.”. Now she is with them too and I’m sure my dad is making her crazy already! My heart breaks for all that you both have been through. Its sad to see another life cut short!   9. I meet Laura years ago from my oldest brother Danny, whom is in heaven too. Im sure he meet her in open arms . We now have another angel looking over us. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family. God bless
