Loretta Jean Powell, 70, of Weirton, passed away Monday, April 25, 2005, at her home. Born May 10, 1934, in Weirton, she was the daughter of Joseph Ewaskey of Weirton and the late Audrey Ewaskey. Loretta was a homemaker and a member of the Memorial Baptist Church in Weirton. In addition to her father, Loretta is survived by her husband Joseph H. Powell of Weirton; son Daniel J. Powell and his wife Mary of Morgantown, WV; 2 grandchildren Laura Powell and Daniel Powell II; sister Doloris Caldwell and her husband Charles of Pittsfield, MA; and brother Joseph Ewaskey and his wife Nancy of Jacksonville, FL. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be conducted at 11AM on Friday with Rev. William Stout presiding. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Weirton.
