  8. I knew Marianne through GE, met her in the early 90’s when she moved from Milwaukee to Louisville then on to Cincinnati. She was always so cheerful and helpful.

  9. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to the Olenick family. I had the pleasure of meeting Marianne through a mutual friend who attended Cardinal Stritch College with her, and then again when she was hired into GE Medical Systems in 1984. We moved to Louisville and GE Corporate at the same time in 1991. In my association with Marianne over the years, the main memory that I will keep about her, was her passion to help others selflessly. Whether it was a problem at work, or a variety of issues outside of work, Marianne truly wanted to help others, and worked untiringly to that end. Because of that trait, she will truly be missed and remembered by more folks than she would have imagined, and I believe, a lot of us are better for having made her acquaintance and friendship.

  10. We will all miss Marianne, always friendly and loved by many. My sincere condolensces to her family.

  11. I worked with Marianne at GE, and she was a kind, gentle person that everyone around her thought very highly of. My prayers are with your family during this time.

  14. I met Marianne in person only briefly through GE, but her kindness made a lasting impression on me. We talked several times at work. I am deeply moved by her death, but know she is in a much better place. My condolences to the family. Tricia

  15. My Deepest Sympathy for Marianne Olenick Family. When I worked for Margaret Austin on 3rd. shift, I had the change to work with Marianne. she was a delightful person. We will miss her. I know the lord is taking good care of her now.

  16. My sympathy to all of Marianne’s friends and family. I have worked with Marianne over the past 20 years at GE. She made everyone’s day brighter with her terrific sense of humor and her pleasant personality. She will be missed. May God bless her soul.

  17. It truly saddens me to hear of Marianne’s passing. She was an absolute Saint. It’s a rarity to find someone in life that is so selfless in their actions and so giving to those in need. Work has not been the same with her gone. We miss her. My prayers are with her family and friends.

  18. Marianne Olenick was a great lady. I worked with her for close to 24 years. She was alway cheerful and was sorry that she had to call late at night on a problem at GE. We always kept in contact. I will miss her up beat attitude and smile. She always liked to talk to Judy, and now they both can keep the dialog going. God Bless everyone! Tony

  19. I’d like to express my sincere sympathy. I met Marianne when she moved to Louisville from Milwaukee then when we moved to Cincinnati I chose to keep my home in Louisville and stay in Cincinnati during the week. Marianne, Arnie and I lived in the same apartment complex for our first two years there and shared many meals together and Marianne helped to make the ordeal of being away from my family less painful. In addition to being a good friend, Marianne was always willing to help on any work-related problems and was a dedicated employee who took her work seriously. You’re all in my prayers……. Ed Shrewsbury

  20. I would like to let her family know how much of a joy it was to have worked with her at GE. We always joked about our dealings with businesses and customers while working at night. She was a true professional while talking to them. After she hung up the phone, that would be a different story. We would all have a good laugh with her about her dealings. What a true friend and will surely be missed. Sincerely, Mark G. Hansman (her Olive buddy)

  21. May God be with your family at this time. I will miss Marianne and how she could turn a bad night around. God bless each of you.

  22. We will truly miss Marianne’s kindness and sense of humor. Saturday night / Sunday morning at GE will never be the same. It has been my pleasure to have known Marianne. My condolences to her Family and Friends. Walt Bennett

  23. I feel very fortunate to have known Marianne for over 30 years. She was truly one of a kind. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

  24. Marianne was a joy to be around the few years I was able to work with her at GE. She will be missed not only for her great cooking (especially her desserts), but also for the way she truly cared for those around her. My prayers are with her family. – Mike Beckner

  25. I found that it was very difficult to stay on any type of diet while working nights with Marianne. However those treats she prepared made you look forward to Saturday night changes instead of dreading them. 1 Peter 3:8

  26. Marianne and I were long distance work buddies. I enjoyed talking to her and will deeply miss our “Judging Amy” conversations. She will always be in my heart.

  27. I feel blessed to have worked with Marianne. Working with people on 3rd shift, you get the see the good and bad in people. With Marianne, there was ALWAYS the good side of her. Her bright personality, willingness to help, and humor, would pull us through the night. I will miss her smile, advice, and all the fantastic “snacks” she use to unselfishly prepare for us. She will be truly, truly missed, but I know the good Lord has her and will take great care of her ! God bless her, and her family and friends….

  28. I was Marianne’s manager for her last two years at GE. She was both a wonderful employee and a wonderful person. She would always go the extra mile on anything she was involved in. Most importantly, she was very kind and generous to everyone she came in contact with. She will be missed – truly missed.

  29. I was shocked to hear about Marianne’s condition and her death as well. I worked with Marianne in Louisville, Ky. for about 5 years and it was the best 5 years at GE for me. She keep you in stitches most of the time with her wit and her birthday celebrations. She would bring food to everyone on third shift in the computer room. She was always ready to lend a hand and information on the job, and knew what to do and when to do it. After I retired we communicated back and forth even when she went to Cincinnati. We slowly drifted apart for whatever reason but I thought of her often and remembered our good times in the computer room. I know that God has her now and that she will be as warmly welcomed in heaven as she was wherever she went. God Bless her family as I know they are going to miss her.

  30. One the nicest and unforgettable people that I have ever meet. Marianne will be greatly missed by me and everyone she had come in contact with

  31. I started working with Marianne about 15 years ago in Louisville on 3rd shift. We became good friends. We were transfer to Cincinnati about 8 years ago. We moved to the same apartments and would eat togehter every night either at her apartment or mine when we both in town. Marianne was a great cook. She was my buddy. She also became a good friend to my wife Janice. She was a good friend to everyone. We will miss her vary much. My prayers are with her family.
