Mary Ann Hoey of Weirton, a loving mother and grandmother passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at the Weirton Medical Center on Monday, January 31, 2022. She was 56 years old. She was born in Phoenixville, PA on August 30, 1965, the daughter to the late Harold and Carol Ann Pashke Snyder. Mary was a graduate of Boyertown Area Senior High School and worked in the health care industry as a Med-Tech and personal care assistant. She took pride in caring for others, whether it was her mother battling cancer, her father with his medical illnesses, or her patients she attended to during her time in the health care industry. Before her cancer diagnosis, she enjoyed her employment at Goodwill Industries as a Shift Manager. Her family described Mary as a very loving and family oriented individual, always stressing to cherish the moments you have together in life. She looked forward to all the time she could spend with her children and grandchildren as they brought her much happiness in life. Mary was entertained by watching movies of all genres. She especially enjoyed the Hallmark Channel, sitcoms, and Steelers games. Mary will be remembered with love and admiration by her son Jason Hoey of Weirton, her daughter Melissa (Patrick) Mathias of Navarre, FL., grandchildren Mariah and Benson Mathias, and brother Hal Snyder and his family of Wrightsville, PA.
