Mary Frances Kastanias, 63, of Oakdale, PA, and Weirton, WV, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2008. She was born February 15, 1945 in Louisville, KY.
Mrs. Kastanias and her husband owned and operated the Furniture Land North in Oakdale and the New Town House Motel in Weirton.
Mary Frances is survived by her husband Nick Kastanias of Oakdale, whom she married May 28, 1966; daughter Sophia Kastanias of Coraopolis, PA; brother John Teasley of Louisville, KY; Helen Hansch of El Paso, TX; several nieces & nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Friday 4-9 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where funeral services will be celebrated 1PM Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice, 10686 State Route 150, Rayland, OH 43943.

Dear nick and sophia, I was so sad to hear of the passing of mary,she was a lovely lady and always had a kind word and was so caring,my sister buffy spent many good times with all of you and she loved mary. may Mary rest in the arms of our loving God. We are truly saddened by the news of Aunt Mary’s passing and regret that we can not make the trip to offer our condolences in person. We will be making a contribution to the Valley Hospice in her memory. While taking a moment to reflect upon our many fond memories there remains one constant in each, and that is the way Mary could light up any room upon arrival. Her energy and love for this life were truly contagious and will surely be missed. One can say with certainty that God himself has welcomed her home with open arms.
