Mary H. Babinchak

Mary H. Babinchak, 82, of Weirton, passed away Friday, September 4, 2009 in the Weirton Geriatric Center.
Born April 7, 1927 in Weirton, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Helen Billcheck Hricik. She was also preceded in death by her husband John Joseph Babinchak in 2004 and son David Michael Babinchak in 2008.
Mrs. Babinchak was a former switchboard operator for C & P Telephone and later, a homemaker who loved gardening and flowers. She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers.
Mary is survived by her son John Babinchak and wife Kathleen of Weirton; daughter Darlene Doerfler and husband Michael of Pittsburgh, PA; sister Priscilla Babinchak of Weirton; four grandchildren, Edward Doerfler and wife Joann of Pittsburgh, Monica Chiarenza and husband Carl of Herriman, UT, Danielle Doerfler Rowlands and husband Tim of Pittsburgh and Blaise Babinchak and wife Jessica of Weirton and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday, September 8, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10AM Wednesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
Mrs. Babinchak's family would like to take this opportunity to thank her caregivers at the Weirton Geriatric Center and Valley Hospice. Their loving attention and concern will always be remembered.
