Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Debbie, I was sad to read about your mom. When we were growing up together it was such fun to visit at your home with your mom and dad. They were always interested in what we were doing and how the family was. Your dad always offered me salami sandwiches no matter what time of day I was visiting, I always thought that was hilarious!! I will always remember your moms laugh, it was contagious! We had a great childhood with great parents. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Sandy

  2. When I was in 6th grade we moved in across the street. We terrorized the neighborhood for many years, you, me, Eric, Shelly, Betty Jean, and others. Many memories have been made in that neighborhood. Remember how we used to walk through the woods down to my Grandma’s house, or down the path behind the pool to your Bubba’s house.. I’ll never forget when I got married and moved back on Marland Heights your Dad showing up at my house every Christmas as Santa for my kids. He made sure you and I kept our friendship alive, little did I realize he had a plan. After becoming a RN, I got the opportunity to take care of Mary, after 2 different surgeries. Then not long after helped her transition into assisted living. Some days were a battle, but never did we ever see Mary happier than her stay at Serra Manor. Mary is back with Georgie as she called him. We might have lost Mary and George but my kids have gained and Aunt and a friend for life. I love you Debbie, the sister I never had.

  3. Dear Debb, We both had a Mary and a George- along with Dec birthday’s, we were just meant to be friends. When I lost my Mary, I then enjoyed yours. We had many Mary OMG moments. She and I bonded, both professional retailers! We had many conversations on what the stores should carry and how it should be merchandised. I admired her style, and it gave me joy to mail her an accessory suprise box. In a word, she had class. She was proud of you and what you accomplished. She loved your animals, like grandkids. I am glad Phil had a chance to meet her, while she was spunky. We’ll remember her as the character she was, on the go, ready to shop! George was so good to her- I know they are at peace, together again. Love and always here to share a memory, Kathy and Phil

  4. It is hard to believe that Mary is gone. She had the best sense of humor which she passed on to you Deb. We both lost our mothers in the same year. That is strange to me because our moms had so many connections throughout their lifetimes. They grew up near each other, worked at the children’s shop for awhile together, and shared many of the same personality characteristics-like speaking their mind. Once we became friends, they started calling each other and reestablished their own type of friendship. Praying that she is at peace now and that you know how many people love you and are here for you if you need us.

  5. To Mary’s Family: I am so sorry for your loss. As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life’s routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Please find comfort in the following Bible verse, John 11: 11 where Jesus said: … Lazarus our friend has gone to rest, but I am journeying there to awaken him from sleep. Please also find comfort in knowing that our Almighty Heavenly Father holds out the hope of the resurrection and the ability to see our loved ones again.

  6. Debbie, So very sorry to hear about your mom. I always loved seeing her and your dad shopping in Krogers and them telling me to stop calling them Mr. and Mrs. Munyas! My parents would have killed us if we ever called adults by their first names! And it was so nice to see you — it had been a long time– when we found your dog last year. The old neighborhood will never be the same but now, the one in heaven has another resident! The Lengyel family sends its deepest sympathies; My mom Irene, Tom, Susan, Chris, and Gary

  7. Deb,I’m so sorry for your loss-of your mom and mine-of a dear neighbor and friend. She was always wonderful to me and the kids from the day we moved in next door! I enjoyed both your mom and dad and their stories. I’ll not forget going to DiCarlo’s on Saturday afternoon before she moved and when I got back we would sit and talk over a couple pieces. May memories keep them close. Love you!
