Michael G. Vucich, 80, of Weirton died Monday December 25, 2006, at the UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born on October 30, 1926 in Weirton, WV the son of the late Nick and Mary Kramarich Vucich. Mike retired from National Steel (Weirton) as a Senior Research Scientist, with 38 years of service. He was also employed by Weirton Steel as the manager of the Process Research and Technology Center. He was a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy and the Carnegie Mellon University. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus 3734; The Fourth Degree Assembly, National Association of Corrosion Engineers, National Association for Surface Finishing, American Iron and Steel Institute. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Rosetta (Cookie) Ciotti Vucich, whom he married on November 16, 1957; his three sons, Michael and Emily Vucich of Owens Mill, MD, Robert and Sheryl Vucich of Columbus, OH, Richard and Fay Vucich of Roanoke, VA; his daughter, Rosanne and Joe Fernandez of Mount Vernon, OH; his brother, Nick P. Vucich of Carnegie, PA; his sister, Lucille Kubit of Bridgeville, PA; his twelve grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Wednesday and 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Friday at the Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church. Rev. Kent Durig will preside. Entombment will follow at the Saint Paul Cemetery Mausoleum, with military honors Conducted by the Weirton Honor Guard.   1. Dear Cookie and Family: I just returned to Washington, DC, and began to read the Sacred Heart of Mary bulletin that I picked-up after Midnight Mass. Saw Mike\\\’s name among those who were \\\”homebound\\\” and then sat at my computer to check information. Much to my surprise I see that God has called Mike home.
