michael warzinski
Michael Joseph Warzinski, 56, of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014 in the Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. Born May 11, 1958 in Weirton, he was the son of Edward M. and Mary Ann Stenda Warzinski of Weirton. Michael was a graduate of Madonna High School, Jefferson Community College, Lincoln Electric Welding School, Ocean Corporation and Hobart School of Welding Technology where he received classification in Magnetic Particle & Liquid Penetrant Testing. Michael worked as a Certified Associate Welding Inspector; was a Commercial (Hardhat) Diver, Diver Medical Technician and EMT/DMT for the Ocean Corporation in Houston, TX; was certified in C.P.R and Automatic External Defibrillator; had certification in General Industry Safety & Health in relation to OSHA and, in 2013, continued his training in the Welding Discontinuities & Defects course at the Hobart School of Welding Technology in Troy, OH. In 1978, he served as Manager of the Former Bottom Half in Steubenville, OH. In 1983, he successfully performed numerous offshore and inland dives using his underwater skills and welding/burning techniques for the Bloudworth and Bond Shipyard in Houston, TX. From 1984 1996, Michael served as a Hyperbaric Technician/Freelance Diver where he was responsible for offshore and inland rivers, dams, steel mills, power plants and bridges. In his free time, Michael enjoyed exercising at Quick Fit Gym in Weirton. In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his son Christopher Warzinski of Wintersville, OH and sisters Lisa (Nick) Green of Lakeland, FL and Susan Latimer of Weirton. Private visitation and funeral services will be held at the convenience of Michael's family. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV.
