Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I knew Mike many years when I taught at Weirton Heights School. He was kind to the children , as well as the staff, ever appreciative of little gifts, even something as simple as sending a card during his illnesses, or bringing him a hot coffee in the morning. “Mr. Mike”, as my students called him, spent so much of his life in ill health that I am glad to know that his suffering is over.

  2. Dear Eddie and Family, I am so deeply sorry for your loss.Mike and I had so many good conversations. A lot of laughs too!! He used to tell me I was a good listener. I feel so sad that I never got over to see him. He was a good and caring person and always wanted what was best for his family. I will miss Mike and I’m sure he’s at peace in the kingdom of Heaven.God Bless all of you and take care. Co-worker Sherri Grieco

  3. Mike’s family, My prayers and thoughts are with you during this difficult time. I enjoyed working with Mike for many years. I remember he was happy to hear that my mom’s family was Serbian and that I also loved pogachi (Serbian Christmas bread). He said his mom used to make it. I remember he called me when the Steelers won the Super Bowls. He was so happy. May his soul rest in peace. Janet

  4. To Mike’s family: So sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. He was a gentle soul and I believe tried his best. I worked with him for 16 years while I was secretary at Weirton Hts. Elem. May Our Lord keep him and his family close to Our Lord’s Heart during this sad time. So sad that he didn’t have a chance to enjoy his retirement. God Bless…

  5. Got to meet Mike during one of many hospital stays I observed. Always a big smile though you could tell he was in pain. Always optimistic. A gentle giant. To all things a season. Chas Biewen RN

  6. To the Marovich family, I worked with Mike at Weirton Heights Elementary. Being president of the teachers’ association, we would always talk about the politics of education. May the good memories of him help get you through this difficult time. Rest in Peace Mike.
