Monnie Sword

Monnie Sword, 69, of Weirton, died Wednesday, March 19, 2003 at the Weirton Medical Center. She was born on October 28, 1933 in Wick, WV, the daughter of the late Lionel and Annabelle Kester Hill. Monnie was also preceded in death by her sister, Donna Belle Lowe. Monnie was a member of the Kings Creek Union Chapel. She retired from K-Mart where she worked as a sales clerk. She also worked at Goodwill for 5 years. She is survived by her former husband Ray Sword of Ravenna, OH; her son Daniel Sword of Columbiana, OH; two daughters, Yvonne Eureka and Connie Howell both of Weirton; sister, Janice Northcraft of New Cumberland. She also has 3 grandchildren, Joshua and Jessica Elliott and Daniel J. Howell and 3 great-grandchildren, Ayllsa and Colton McAdams and Dalton Elliott. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21 from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday with Pastor William Hammond presiding. Interment will follow at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens in Follansbee, WV.
