Myrtle E. Pratt, 86, of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2012 in the Weirton Medical Center. Born November 15, 1925 in Waynesburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late James and Myrtle Amos Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband Orcie S. Pratt on January 21, 2006, daughter in law Janet Pratt in 2006 and sister Ethel Williams. In 1982, Myrtle retired from the Brooke County Schools where she served as a lunch room aide for Edgewood School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Weirton, Methodist Women, Fidelity Bible Class and Rebekah Lodge. Mrs. Pratt is survived by her son James Stephen Pratt of Wintersville, OH; daughter Donna R. Barksdale and her husband Steve of St. Marys, WV and grandchildren Jamie Lynn Kuester, Justin Stephen Pratt (Melea), Andrew Donaldson Barksdale and Emily Jane Barksdale. Visitation will be held Thursday 6-8:30PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, where funeral services will be celebrated 11 Friday. Pastor Chuck Jerman will officiate. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.

You probably don’t remember me, but my parents were friends with your parents years ago..I can remember spending time at your house with my sisters (Sunny & Cindy) and brother (Tom).
