Nancy Jeanne DellaPiazza, 59, of Weirton died Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, OH. Born on February 15, 1956, in Weirton, WV, Nancy was a daughter of Robert and Elizabeth "Joann" Schumacher Faulkner of Weirton, WV. Nancy retired from Weirton Steel Corporation as a welder and continued her career with Ball Corporation. A single mother, Nancy worked endless days to provide for her daughter. She enjoyed camp fires with her family and joking with everyone. Nancy was not one to ever sit still as she will always be remembered for helping others. In addition to her parents, Nancy is survived by her daughter, Jamie Lee DellaPiazza of Weirton,; a brother, Robert (Vickie) Faulkner, Jr. of Weirton; four sisters, Louanne (Dick) Applegarth of Richmond, OH, Beth Faulkner, Susan (Dale) Hixenbaugh and Jodi (Dave) Lashhorn all of Weirton. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 10AM on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Saint Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Weirton. Rev. Fr. Thomas Magary will preside. The family would like to thank the Tony Teramana Cancer Center staff (especially Dr. Rahman, Dr. Hyland, and Susan Miller) and the Trinity West Women's Center 3rd floor staff and Valley Hospice for their kindness and wonderful care of Nancy. Donations in memory of Nancy should be made to the Tony Teramana Cancer Center Food Pantry, St. Paul's Church, or Valley Hospice.
