Nathan Randall Simakis, 29, of Weirton, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at his home. Born October 15, 1984 in Steubenville, OH he was a son of Rochelle Simakis Riel of Weirton and Douglas R. Smith of Alpharetta, GA. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Michael J. Simakis. Nathan was Catholic by faith and was an auto technician at Snyder Tire in Wintersville, OH. In addition to his parents, Nathan is survived by his daughter Natalie Simakis, brothers Aaron Simakis, David Riel and Kanoa Smith; sisters Nadia Riel and Calista Smith; grandmother Laura J. Simakis; grandfather Raymond Smith; aunt Paula McGrogan; uncles Roger Rippeth and Jeffrey Smith and cousins Amber and Rachel McGrogan. Visitation will be held Sunday 4-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, where funeral services will be conducted 11am Monday, March 3, 2014. The Reverend Father Larry Dorsch will officiate. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Colliers, WV.
