  14. Today is the day we put you to rest Dad. We are so very, very proud of you and the tribute that was paid to you by all of your family and friends. You were such a loved man and so many people came to tell you so. You really are our hero and if we can live our lives with only half of the humility that you have and the love for people that you shared then we will be doing well. You are a wonderful, loving, giving father and we love you with all of our heart and soul. We miss you so very much, however we know you are at peace and free of pain. Mom will be well taken care of by all of the friends and family that surround her as well as Gen and I. We know it’s our turn now to make sure she is well taken care of and we won’t let you down. Please look down upon us with grace and mercy and lead us in the path that will bring us together again. The heavens sang with joy and we are blessed to have shared this world with such a wonderful man like you. Your loving daughters, Jeannette & Genevieve

  15. Aunt Frances, Jean and Gen, You know how we feel about Uncle Norman and all of you. We have shared many years of memories that no one can take away from us and that we will all treasure all the days of our lives. As we move to another phase of our lives, we will always keep our love for Uncle Norman and each other alive. We now must listen for Uncle Norman to speak to us with our hearts and not with our ears. Love Always, Tim, Angela, Bob and Chris

  16. Dear Mrs. Oliver, Jeanette and Genevieve, I can’t tell you how many times I have thought of you over the years. It’s only with the death of your husband and father that I knew where you were. It seems odd to think about a friendship that seems to have come to an end over forty years ago, but I still remember walking to your apartment on Crist Lane (?) and what a good time I had. I wanted to tell you all how sorry I was to hear of your husband/ father’s death. My dad died three years ago and it’s still hard to bear. I will remember him in my prayers and treasure our brief friendship. Love, Sharon (Davis) Green

  17. Dear Frances, Norm was such a special guy. He was always such a fun-loving person to be around. I will always remember his kind-hearted ways from the “good old days” at R&D and our family bowling parties. Frances, please know that you and the girls are in my thoughts and prayers. Norm will be missed by so many.

  18. It is nearing a year since you left us to be with our Savior. How can I describe the difference in our lives your absence has caused? While the sun has risen every day since your passing, the brightness has been dimmed by your absence. It shows in all of us. It shows in all that you touched. Time has healed the external wounds left by your passing, but internally I cry rivers. The thought of you lingers and the pain of Goodbye rings louder than ever. I love you’s were words we shared too few of, but just in case you didn’t know, I love you so much. If I could be half the man you were, I would be twice the man that I am. I miss you. Pray for us. Rest in God’s peace. Love and Memories a nephew

  19. Dear Norman … Ten years have passed – the loss is still felt and the memories still linger. Your Sister…
