Patience Virginia Mackey
October 17, 1935 ~ June 12, 2007
Patience Virginia Mackey, 71, of Weirton, passed away June 12, 2007 at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. She was born October 17, 1935 in Clarksburg, WV, a daughter of the late Herbert Murphy and Marcia Loosemore Virden. Patience was also preceded in death by her son Donald Ford Mackey and grandson Nicholas Adam Zajac.
Patience was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Weirton, the Weirton Osteopathic Hospital Guild and was past president of the Eagles Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband Lester Mackey; son Douglas James Mackey and his wife Terri; daughters Cindy Rae Zajac and her husband John all of Weirton and Rebecca Jane Merriner of Rogersville, PA; sister Judy Colley and her husband William of Wellsburg, WV; grandchildren Joshua Mackey, Christopher Zajac, Daniel Mackey, Brianna Evans and Herbert Merriner, and 5 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received Friday from 9 until the 11 AM Memorial Service at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV 26062. Reverend Marvin Taylor will officiate. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
