Patricia L. Holt

Patricia (Patty) L. Blankenship Holt, 88, of Weirton, WV, passed away on February 3, 2021. At the time of her death, she resided in Venice, Florida, with her daughter Cindy. Patty was born August 13, 1932, in Paris, PA, to the late Cecil and Val Jean (Gardner) Grey. Also, preceded in death by husbands Robert Blankenship and Jack Holt, brother John Grey, sister Margie Knapp, sisters in law, Nellie and Louise Grey, and brother in law, Lee Libengood. Left to cherish Patty’s memory, her children, Cinda (Cindy Burns) Roberts (Larry) of Venice, Florida and Bill Burns Jr. of Weirton and grandchildren, Jason Roberts, Nashville, TN, and Jeremy Roberts, Erie, PA. Survived by her brothers Donnie Grey and Richard Grey (Charleen) of Paris, PA, sisters, Sue Brown (Richard) of Cyclone, PA, Barbara Libengood of Weirton, WV and Donna Gates (Mike) of Paris, PA; brother in law, Larry Knapp; and several nieces and nephews. Patty is a graduate of Union High School, Burgettstown. Patty was always an active member of the community. She was a member of the Junior Women’s of Burgettstown, Paris Garden Club, and, for many years, served as the Democratic Committee Chairwoman for Hanover Township, Washington County. Patty was a member of the Ft. Vance Historical Society. She also served as Co-Chairman of the Hanover Township Relocation of the Covered Bridge. Patty was a member of Red Hat groups, Sassy Lassies, and The Dizzy Dozen. She also was a member of the Weirton Women’s Club and Three Score Seniors Club of Weirton. Patty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Patty attended church at the Weirton First Church of Nazarene and was a member of The Presbyterian Church of Burgettstown. Friends will be received, Friday, February 19, 2021, at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, from 1:30 PM until the 2:30 service. The Reverend Larry Barkley will officiate. Inurnment will follow in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Paris, PA. All in attendance are required to wear a face-covering and practice social distancing.
