Paul ''PT'' Mehalik Sr.,53,of Weirton, passed away on March 6, 2003, in Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born February 17, 1950 in Clarksburg, WV, the son of the late Paul and Edith Samples Mehalik. PT was a Tow Boat Pilot and worked for Campbell Transportation. He was a member of the Paris Sportmans Club and was Methodist by faith. He is survived by his wife Joyce Martus Mehalik of Weirton, his son Paul T. Mehalik, Jr. of Detroit, MI; a sister Annie Gilland and her husband Ronald of Salisbury, MD and five nieces and nephews, Natalie and Mark Ticich of Gaithersburg, MD, Jenny Bernardi, Matt and Amy Gilland of Salisbury, MD. Visitation will be Saturday March 8, 2003 from 7-9 PM and Sunday from 1-3 and 7-9 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton, where services will be held Monday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Rev. Timothy Allen will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Orthodox Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, Hancock County Unit, P.O.   9. Though my uncle has passed away, I don’t feel sad. I have a peace at his going, knowing that he is not in pain anymore. I feel sorry for my mother, aunt, and cousin, because he was in their lives longer than mine.
