
Pete G. Peleskey

Pete G. Peleskey, 84, of Weirton, died Saturday, October 15, 2005 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. He was born May 23, 1921 in Punxsutawney, PA, a son of the late John and Erma (Zapko) Peleskey. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rose Marie (Warszynski) Peleskey on December 4, 2004.
Pete retired with 40 years of service from Weirton Steel where he worked as a train conductor.
Pete was a member of the Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Weirton Steel 25 Year Club, and the American Legion Post 10. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII and was an avid bowler at Steel Valley Lanes.
Pete is survived by one son, David Peleskey and his wife Alison of Weirton; two daughters, Barbara A. Johns and her husband Bob of Jacksonville, FL and Catherine Baker and her husband Bill of Enoree, SC; one brother, Ted Lopushansky of Mingo Junction, OH; one sister, Anna Peleskey of Mingo Junction, OH; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Wednesday at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where a vigil service will be held at 8:30 PM.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Thursday at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Weirton. Entombment will be at St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.

Dave and family, I know this is a very difficult time for you since you just lost your mother less than a year ago. You hardly had time to grieve for her and now your dad is gone. Dave, you can never feel guilty for not being with your father or doing anything for and mostly with him. You were there for him any time he needed you. God has a special place in heaven for you!!! Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.
