philip lore

Philip Gerard Lore, 62, of Nutley, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 15, 2025 surrounded by his loving family in the home he built and cherished.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, Phil grew up with strong family values, a deep love for his Italian heritage, and a work ethic that shaped the rest of his life. He married the love of his life, Susan Elaine (Greco) Lore, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and tradition.

Phil was the proud father of four children: Dominic, Danielle, Elaina, and Sophia, and the cherished grandfather of Nicolina. He devoted his life to providing for his family, sharing wisdom, offering support, and showing his children the importance of strength, independence, kindness, and hard work.

Throughout his life, Phil was a man of remarkable dedication and achievement. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business from West Virginia University. He went on to become a respected real estate appraiser for 40 years, known for his expertise, integrity, and commitment. Phil was also a devoted member of the Buoncammino Society, proudly honoring his heritage and faith with his service to Maria Santissima del Buoncammino di Altamura.

Known for his big heart, his ability to fix anything, his humor, his dance moves, his dedication to family, and his unwavering generosity, Phil touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He was a man who gave without hesitation, lived with intention, and embraced each day with resilience.

Phil was sadly preceded in death by his mother, Anna (Zaccardi) Lore, and his mother and father in law, Marjorie and Victor Greco.

Phil’s legacy will live on through the love he poured into his family, the lessons he taught, and the strength he embodied. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by his loving wife Susan, his children Dominic Lore and his wife Janelle, Danielle Brebner and her husband Nicholas, Elaina Lore, and Sophia Lore, and his granddaughter Nicolina. He is also survived by his father, Dominick Lore, and his siblings Lorraine Lore, Lucille Lore, MaryAnn Aceti, Joseph Lore, and Lauri DiBianco, along with their families.

Visitation will be held at the Biondi Funeral Home in Nutley New Jersey from 3 PM until 7 PM on Wednesday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM on Thursday at Saint Thomas the Apostle Church, 60 Byrd Avenue Bloomfield, NJ.

He will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
