Robert L. "Bob" Curtis, 61, of Kingwood, TX, formerly of Weirton, WV, died Sunday, July 24, 2016 at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.. Pittsburgh, PA. Born on May 11, 1955, in Weirton, Bob was a son of the late Dana D. and Kathryn Tingler Curtis. He was also preceded in death a step grandson, William "Liam" Franklin Peoples. With 28 years of service, Bob retired from Weirton Steel where he served as a conductor on the railroad. He was currently serving as a committee volunteer for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and was very active volunteer in Ronald McDonald House Charities in Houston TX. He was a former member of the First Christian Church, Weirton; a member of the LaPort Community Church, Gold Wing Road Riders Association, the Rocking Horse Riders, and the Special Rodeo, a rodeo for special needs children. He will always be remembered for his willingness to help others. Bob is survived by his wife Deborah (Williams) Curtis of Kingwood, TX, ; daughters Christina M. Curtis , and Melissa M. Curtis both of Imperial, PA Darcy Crawford and Staci Peoples (William) all of Kingwood, TX; a grandson, Asher Peoples brother, Darrell E. Curtis (Angelina) of Weirton; nieces Alexis Curtis, Danielle Gajtka (Terry), Darci Dubrasky (Jason), Cheri Parks (David), Lee Ann and Tammy Lansford; 2 nephews, Darrick and Tommy Curtis; great-nieces Kaeleen Bruce, and Madelyn Dubrasky; great-nephews Dacoda Curtis, Colton, Dominic and Lucas Dubrasky;. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where funeral services will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday. The Reverend Kevin Bowers will officiate. Interment will follow in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Florence, PA. I remember when my cousin, Sina Mae’s husband passed away in the mill, your Dad (they were also neighbors) went with the men from the mill to tell her of Tom’s passing. Thinking of you.

  8. Mr. Bob was such a bright light in our lives while we lived at RMH. He followed my son long after his treatment was finished.   13. Debbie I am so sorry for your loss. Bob was loved by many as he touched many many lives and hearts. I called him the gentle giant… a big guy with an even bigger heart. He suffers no more. As Bob rest peacefully in our Heavenly Father’s arms, I pray for you and the family for strength, comfort, and peace. My granddaughter and I met Bob at RMH Houston and he saw to it she went to as many rodeo shows that she could. She won her battle as her suffering ended 2 years ago. Mandisa and Bob both won.   18. Bob never asked for anything for him self. He all ways asked what he could do for you, He was a true friend to all he meet. He will be missed by all he touched. Bob was very special man to me. He called me the morning he was to get his transplant. It was early that morning. I told him I was on my way.. He said you don’t need to come here I will be OK. I showed up with in the hour. He says I cant be leave you came. He would have been there for me as he all ways was. A true man of his word. I will for ever miss him. I rode many miles with Bob on motorcycles & shared many more story’s. He was a great man. I love you Bob. RIP.
