Mr. Roger William Adams
November 19, 1946 ~ July 20, 2025
Born in:
Steubenville, Ohio
Resided in:
Weirton, West Virginia
Roger William Adams, 78, of Weirton, passed away on July 20, 2025 in Hospice at Trinity Hospital in Steubenville, Ohio.
He was born on November 19, 1946, to the late William and Mary S.( Rossi) Adams. He grew up in Weirton and participated in the Boy Scouts. He is a graduate of Weirton Madonna, class of 1964 and Steubenville Business College.
Roger worked many years at and retired from Homer Laughlin China Company.
Outside of work, Roger enjoyed golf. He was a Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan and followed college football. When not watching sports, Roger was usually tuned in to CNN.
His family and friends might describe him as often “marching to his own drum”, but “a good egg.” He always enjoyed and was a welcome addition to family gatherings in Cleveland and Chautauqua. His family loved him very much. Roger never had a pet, but animals loved to curl up with him in a recliner. He will be sadly missed by Eb, Emily and Fritz! He was a good neighbor, kept a meticulous lawn and would help folks if he could. His beautiful houseplants would rival those of many florists.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his nephew, Chip Fumich.
He is survived by his sister, Cynthia, and her husband, Dr. Robert “Mark” Fumich of Cleveland, his nephew Trenton of Medina, Ohio, his niece, Ranjita and her husband John Nicolaou and his great-nephew Xenos, of Cedar Grove, New Jersey.
Arrangements are being made by Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home. Interment will be at St Bartholomew’s Church in Cleveland at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Medina Creative Housing, 232 N. Court Street, Medina, OH 44256 or online at https://medinacreativehousing.com

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of a dear friend from our high school days. He was a wild child, absolutely fearless and great fun to be with for many, many years. He first drove a BRG MGB and then a GTO, which was much too fast.
Roger was a couple yrs older than me, but we hung around for a long. Occasionally we’d share a few beers together, he was a great guy fun to be with, my wife dee and I could always count on Roger to babysit our dog Fritz and our previous dog franky, Roger will be missed, may he rest in peace.
Cindy thank you for including Fritz in rogers obit.
