Ronald John Giarletto, 64, of Wintersville, OH died Wednesday July 1, 2015, at the Trinity Medical Center, West. Born on October 12, 1950, in Hazelton, PA, Ron was a son of the late Louis and Pauline Rossi Giarletto. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Beth Schrockman. After graduating from Weirton Madonna in 1968, Ron pursued a Liberal Arts Degree from West Liberty. Ron eventually retired from Arcelor Mittal, where he began his career with Weirton Steel, working in the General Offices. When he retired, Ron was a foreman in the Tin Mill. Ron's passions in life were weight lifting and gardening. He was a member of the Weirton Steel 25 Year Club. Ron is survived by his wife, Kimberly Caranda Giarletto, whom he married on July 2, 1994; and his brother, Louis Paul Giarletto, and his wife Mary Ann. Visitation will be Friday 10 AM until 1 PM, at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV, where funeral services will be held immediately following at 1 PM. I remember when Trup would dress up as Santa and Ron would dress up as an elf and come over to our house at Christmas, shake their keys and sing “Jingle Bells.” The best memories I have of Ron always involved a lot of laughter. Just heard about this tragedy this Wednesday. Ronnie was such a great friend. Spent many good times and memories from the old days. May his memory be eternal.
