Rose Barnabei, 83, of Weirton, passed away November 7, 2004, at Mercy Hospital in Pittsbugh, PA. She was born June 1, 1921 in Ida May, WV. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes Kolich Bartolovich. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Joseph, Matthew and John Bartolovich and sisters Ann Stanich and Kathryn Hecathorne. Rose worked as a beautician for Ann's Beauty Shop. She was a homemaker, mother and housewife. She was a member of St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Weirton, The Legion of Mary, and Christian Mothers. She was a volunteer for the Weirton Medical Center, was very active in school PTA, was a den mother and an avid bowler. She is survived by her husband Fred A Barnabei whom she married June 14, 1941. She has two sons; Dr. Fred Barnabei and his wife Sharon of Augusta, GA; Richard Barnabei and his wife Patti of Weirton; five grandchildren; Fred, Brian, Beth and Marcy Barnabei and Stacy Loverde; three great grandchildren Sydney, Samantha and Addison Loverde; two sisters Mary Ann Vucic and Barbara Pete both of Weirton. Visitation will be Tuesday from 7-9:00 PM and Wednesday from 2-4:00 and 7-9:00 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton, WV, where a prayer service will be held Wednesday at 2:30 PM in the funeral home. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be Thursday, 10:00 AM at St Joseph the Worker Church, Weirton. Interment will be at St Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
